Peintre Cecile Veilhan
“Audience watch me”
“Audience watch me”
Peintre Cecile Veilhan was born in Nantes, France in 1965. Veilhan
painted feminine paintings that connected with all stages of a woman’s life.
She is known for making paintings revolving around motherhood as expressed here.
Most of her paintings expressed happiness and love. This is exactly what
Veilhan was stating in this piece. She was showing the special bond between a
mother and her child. This artwork is so beautiful because of the specific
attention to texture detail. The baby’s outfit looks so incredibly soft while
the mother’s shirt seems flowy and light. The attention to material pattern is
what makes this piece so aesthetically beautiful. The background seems to be a
home with not too much attention focused. She is apparently sitting in a very
beautifully designed couch showing the level of comfort between the two
characters. The body language is what makes this photograph so interesting. I
chose this picture because it shows a mothers love to her child. Both of their
eyes convey so much love and admiration of one another other.
